A Caring Space: opportunity for caregivers to take time out

Veronica Parton and Christine Walkerdine offer this breathing space for all who care for a loved one (partner, child, parent, sibling, dear friend or other), a chance to step away for a few hours.  It’s an opportunity to gently explore, together with God, the way this role is changing your life, hopes, dreams, perspectives and above all the relationship with the one you care for… and with others.

Come as you are, however you find yourself.  The team will offer some ways to encounter the Holy, through compassionate listening, scripture, prayer, art, creativity, silence, optional sharing with others, or simply to have a nap or just sit.

Veronica and Christine will be holding these Quiet Days on various days through the year; the first is Tuesday 2nd April in Lower Hutt from 11am to 2pm, future dates and venues will be confirmed.  Hot drinks are provided, please bring your own lunch, a koha of $10 is suggested.

For further information and to register your interest for one or more of the days please contact Veronica vjpdap@gmail.com or 021 238 6675
