Rosie Fyfe, Intercultural Communities Enabler

Rosie Fyfe, Intercultural Communities Enabler

Hello, kia ora, أهلاً و سهلاً

My name is Rosie. I am excited to have recently joined Anglican Movement in the position of Intercultural Communities Enabler. This role is in partnership with NZCMS (New Zealand Church Missionary Society) and I will be working alongside Rev Ana Fletcher.

Growing up in Wellington, I found myself constantly involved in ministries which reached out to people from different cultures. In 2010, I became a mission partner with NZCMS and moved to Cairo, Egypt. I worked for five years in the Partnership Office of the Anglican Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa. In this role I worked alongside local leaders to plan, obtain funding, monitor, evaluate, and report on education, health, interfaith and community development projects, and managed the communications of the diocese. After leaving Egypt, I went to study at Trinity School for Ministry, an Anglican seminary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I became involved in ministry with former refugees from Syria.

I’m excited to be back in my hometown but continuing to work cross-culturally. I am excited to see how the body of Christ in this particular corner of God’s kingdom can continue to share the gifts and richness of our diverse cultures together.
