Reverends Hennie and Sarah Nothnagel, Parish of The Epiphany, Masterton

Bishop Justin, Bishop Eleanor and the Parish Nominators of the Parish of The Epiphany, Masterton are delighted to announce the appointment of Reverends Hennie and Sarah Nothnagel as Co-Vicars in the parish.  They will take up their new role on Monday 18 February and will be installed at a service in the parish at 7.00pm on Wednesday 20 February.  All are welcome to attend.

Sarah and Hennie have been married for 18 years and have two grown-up sons.  They emigrated to New Zealand from South Africa in 2005, and are now New Zealand citizens.  They are both passionate and enthusiastic, and keen to lead in a parish to grow and develop the church community.  They will bring different skills and attributes and will complement each other.

Both Hennie and Sarah were ordained in 2012, and between them have 19 years of experience in parish ministry.  Sarah has held the roles of parish manager, priest assistant, and personal assistant to the vicar at the Parish of Waikanae and Parish of Kapiti.  Hennie has been presiding and preaching across five congregations across three churches in Kapiti.  He has also been Priest in Charge in the Shannon-Foxton Parish and the Priest Responsible for St Peter’s Parish in Paekakariki, and holds the position of Assistant Diocesan Spiritual Director.
