Thirty new Bibles for China thanks to Hataitai children

The 9am Sunday School at All Saints Hataitai have been learning the story of the Bible – from its origins to how it’s been translated around the world.  One of the parish’s children and families leaders, Hayley Denoual, said: “We even had a go at translating a bible verse with some Wycliffe Bible translators.”

In the group’s final activity, they learnt about China’s Amity Bible Press, and baked biscuits to fundraise for Bible Society New Zealand’s “Bibles for China” appeal. Hayley tells us: “We raised $60, which will buy paper for 30 bibles!”

Well done, whānau!
