Telling stories of faith and transformation since ages ago

At the site of the oldest church in the diocese, a group of committed Anglicans are preparing to host an open day at which they hope to gather and share stories of faith, courage and God’s hand at work from some of the first European settlers in the New Zealand.

The Annual Open Afternoon at Christ Church, Taita, will occur on Sunday the 18th of November from 3pm, at 173 Eastern Hutt Road.  Christ Church was built in 1853 and it’s now a New Zealand icon with its beautiful historic garden cemetery. Plans are underway to move an 1863 cottage next to Christ Church as a Visitor Centre and Early Settler Museum.

You can find out more on the attached information sheet.  There is no charge for the event, and afternoon tea is provided.  To ask questions, please email John Daysh jddaysh@gmail.ccm or John Terris
