Fruitcakes and festive fare for Kaikōura

The Catholic Archdiocese of Wellington, which includes Kaikõura, is arranging to bless the people of the quake-stricken town as the second anniversary of the devastating 2016 earthquake approaches.

Our friends in the archdiocese have extended an invitation to us, to express love and solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Kaikōura by supplying wrapped fruitcakes or other festive fare, which will be delivered to the town in time for the anniversary on the 14th of November. These can be dropped off at the Compassion Soup Kitchen (132 Tory St, Wellington), Challenge 2000 (1 Wanaka St, Johnsonville) or the Archdiocesan Catholic Centre (22 Hill St, Wellington) up until midday on the 12th of November.  They will be delivered to Kaikōura by the Society of St Vincent de Paul as part of the World Day of the Poor activities of the Archdiocese of Wellington.  For more information please contact Lisa Beech on l.beech@wn.catholic.org.nz.
