The School is seeking to fill the position of a full-time Associate Chaplain, supporting the School Chaplain in meeting the pastoral needs of the students across our three campuses. The role has a teaching component, supporting our RE Specialist, teaching Religious Education to various year groups as required. Experience in this area is preferred, however applicants with a willingness to upskill will be considered.
The successful candidate will understand the importance of spiritual wellbeing in the development of young people and be keen to support that development through Christian learning, youth groups, pastoral care and relationship building. The successful candidate will be expected to be an active Christian presence in the school and boarding environments. They will be comfortable working with different cultures and the spiritual needs of boys, staff and families. This will require working with communities and families in a supportive and collaborative manner, both within and outside the school context.
This role will suit an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner who loves working with young people and wants to be part of a community focused on student wellbeing. Experience working in a school environment will be a definite advantage. A commitment to the corporate life and special character of the School will be conditions of employment.
