Catholic and Anglican men to join together for fellowship event

The Joshua Catholic Men’s Fellowship will be having their next meeting at our cathedral’s Loaves and Fishes Hall on the 20th of September 2018, and have invited Anglican men to attend.  The guest speaker will be Cardinal John Dew, the Catholic Archbishop of Wellington and leader of the Catholic Church in New Zealand.  He’s just returned from the “World Meeting of Families” in Ireland with Pope Francis, and the very next day after his talk, will be heading off to Rome.  The theme of his address will be “Stay connected to Christ.”

Steve Ready, leader of the fellowship, advises: “Our meeting proper starts at 7:30pm but we do have fellowship with something to eat and drink from 7:00pm. After a time of prayer and praise (we have a Charismatic background!) and a short reflection on a Bible reading, Cardinal John will speak from about 8:10pm for about 20-25 minutes followed by any questions. The meeting finishes up about 9:00pm with more fellowship but a number usually leave straight after the meeting.”

Attendees are invited to offer a koha to cover costs, but this is not mandatory.
